Endocrinologist

Dr Kishani Kannangara is a Sydney based Endocrinologist also providing specialist services to rural areas of New South Wales.

Kishani was born in New Zealand and completed her medical degree at the University of Sydney. After graduation, Kishani worked as an intern and resident at Gosford Hospital on the Central Coast and completed her Basic Physicians training at Concord Hospital in Sydney. Kishani completed her Advanced Endocrine training The Prince of Wales in Randwick and The Nepean Hospital in Penrith before undertaking an Andrology Fellowship at The Prince Henry Institute and Monash Medical Centre in Melbourne in 2010.

Kishani was admitted to the Royal Australian College of Physicians as a Consultant Endocrinologist in 2011. She is a member of the Endocrine Society of Australia, the Australian Diabetes Society, and Fertility Society of Australia. She also attends meetings in Australia and internationally and regularly gives talks to fellow health professionals.

Kishani specialises in Andrology, Fertility and the following areas of Endocrinology:

• Diabetes 
• Thyroid disorders 
• Reproductive endocrinology 
• Gestational diabetes and thyroid dysfunction in pregnancy 
• Investigating and treatment of male infertility 
• Diagnosis and treatment of androgen deficiency in men

Kishani is also part of an experienced team at Westmead hospital providing fertility preservation consultation and treatment for male and female patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
